Description
Sodium metabisulfite (SMBS) is a standard chemical employed in water treatment. SMBS can inhibit fungal growth and
aerobic bacteria on reverse osmosis membranes when used as a preservative solution.
SMBS can also be used as a cost-effective solution for the treatment and removal of free chlorine.
